This New Year season became a little warmer for children living in collective sites across the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Within the framework of the TERA Consortium, our partners — Light of Culture NGO — organized festive activities in 10 shelters for children and families who were forced to relocate from the Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
For the children, these days were filled with Christmas trees, fairy-tale characters, creative workshops, art therapy, and New Year entertainment. While children were engaged in games and creative activities, parents received support from psychologists and legal advisors — ensuring care and assistance for adults as well.
This initiative became a meaningful way to close a year that was challenging, intense, and deeply human.
Throughout the year, within the TERA framework, we and our partners stood alongside people facing difficult circumstances — offering support, strengthening communities, and helping individuals find stability where it was most needed.
Ending the year with care, attention, and children’s smiles truly matters because it is these small moments that build a sense of safety, togetherness, and hope for the year ahead
