Team4UA joined a meeting with The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine to discuss housing solutions for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The Charitable Foundation “Team4UA” took part in a roundtable discussion dedicated to the legislative regulation of housing rights for internally displaced persons (IDPs) and the development of long-term housing solutions.

The event brought together representatives of government authorities, international organizations, and civil society to discuss approaches to shaping housing policy in Ukraine.

Team4UA was represented by Ihor Lavrinets, Public Affairs & Advocacy Coordinator

During the meeting, participants discussed:

  • the effectiveness of existing support programmes;
  • the development of affordable and social housing;
  • the need for a systemic approach to housing policy;
  • the importance of high-quality analysis of IDP needs and incorporating these needs into decision-making processes.

“For Team4UA, as an organization that works directly with evacuated populations and IDPs, particularly on housing-related issues, this meeting marked an important step toward aligning the positions of the government, civil society representatives, and international partners. It is important that the discussion focuses not only on current challenges but also on the development of long-term, systemic housing solutions that reflect the real needs of people requiring housing support. We remain committed to further contributing to the development of housing policy,” said Ihor Lavrinets.

Following the discussion, participants agreed to continue working on the development of an analytical basis and a shared vision for the future State Housing Policy Strategy, as well as concrete instruments to ensure access to housing.формуванням аналітичної бази та узгодженого бачення майбутньої Державної стратегії житлової політики та конкретних інструментів для забезпечення житлом.
