VR therapy for PTSD: how technology is supporting mental health

🧠 Last week, the Team4UA Charitable Foundation visited the Mental Health and Education Center, where we explored one of the modern approaches to working with PTSD.

In the context of the war, the need for quality psychological support for both veterans and civilians continues to grow. That is why it is important to look for new tools that can complement traditional therapy.

🥽 One such approach is the use of VR headsets developed by VR Mentality. The company combines the expertise of psychotherapists and developers to create solutions for working with post-traumatic stress disorder.

This technology allows for the creation of controlled scenarios in a virtual environment, where a person works together with a specialist. It helps safely process traumatic experiences while gradually reducing stress and anxiety levels.

We tested how this works in practice and explored what this format of interaction with therapy looks like.

Innovations in mental health are about expanding access to support and finding effective solutions for those who need it today.

🎥 Here’s a look at how it went.
