On 8 June, representatives of the “Team4UA” Charity Foundation participated in a preparatory meeting ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) 2026.
The event was organized by NGO Platform and brought together representatives of civil society organizations, state authorities, and the donor community. The meeting served as a space to discuss the positions of Ukrainian civil society organizations in recovery processes ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference.
URC 2026 will take place on 25–26 June 2026 in Gdańsk, Poland. The conference aims to strengthen international support for Ukraine’s recovery and encourage investment in Ukrainian businesses.
For us, it is important to contribute to shaping a shared position ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference. We emphasize that the localization model works, but it requires stronger support. This means not only increased funding, but also long-term financing to ensure the quality implementation of recovery projects, as well as the inclusion of national NGOs in public-private partnership mechanisms. By combining the expertise and experience of civil society, the resources of the private sector, and the strategic role of the state and local authorities, we can help scale and develop solutions for Ukraine’s recovery

During the event, participants also discussed effectiveness, localization, energy resilience, and sustainable recovery – an approach to reconstruction that considers not only the speed of implementation, but also the long-term quality, sustainability, and benefits of solutions for communities.
National and local civil society organizations do more than implement projects – they also help shape their content and strategic direction. When we talk about recovery, repairs, and housing, it is important to focus on sustainable and environmentally responsible solutions that are already available today. We actively promote these approaches among donors, although securing funding for them remains challenging. Recovery must be fast, modern, and technology-driven. We know this from our own experience of building a school using 3D-printing technology

For Team4UA, participation in such meetings is an opportunity to highlight the practical experience of local organizations, the needs of conflict-affected populations and civil society actors, and the solutions that can make recovery faster, more effective, more accessible, and more responsive to the needs and interests of communities.
The voices of humanitarian organizations and local communities must help shape Ukraine’s recovery.
