We are pleased to share insights from the recent series of practical evacuation trainings implemented by Crisis Insight within the framework of the TERA Consortium.
Over the course of three months, 216 participants (171 unique) took part in sessions covering the full evacuation cycle: from decision-making and planning to coordination between communities and communication during crises. The trainings also focused on the needs of people with disabilities, older people, and other groups requiring additional support.
The trainings were held both online and offline in Dnipro at the Community Studio space.
From Team4UA’s perspective, supporting local Ukrainian operators is at the core of effective humanitarian response. These organizations are closest to communities and bring essential, context-specific expertise that strengthens the entire system.
Supporting local operators is essential, as they hold direct, contextual expertise and are key to ensuring effective, people-centered responses on the ground
Guillaume Banos, Head of Programmes at Team4UA
As highlighted by Crisis Insight:
e are sincerely grateful to the Team4UA Foundation for supporting this series of trainings and for the opportunity to share practical experience with teams working on these challenges every day. For us, this is a clear example of localization in action
Ярослав Корнієнко, співзасновник Crisis Insight.

We are also grateful to Crisis Insight for their important work and commitment. This initiative represents only their second grant, reflecting the growing capacity of local organizations to design and deliver impactful, practice-based training.
The activity was implemented within the TERA Consortium with financial support from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF).
