City Day in Lviv in 2026 is celebrated from May 1 to May 3!
For the Team4UA Foundation, this city has a special significance: it is where part of our work began in spring 2022.
In the first months, the team worked from temporary locations, coordinated humanitarian assistance, supported people arriving from the east, and helped meet basic needs. At the same time, ideas for more systemic solutions were being formed – including the beginning of work on the idea of a 3D-printed school as a response to the pressure on the education infrastructure.
Today, part of our team is based in Lviv, where they ensure the daily coordination of processes and support the foundation’s ongoing work.
Lviv has become an important part of our journey, and we are grateful for the support we have received here and continue to feel.
How It All Started?
I arrived in Lviv in early April 2022. At that time, everything was very improvised – we were working from restaurants, information centres, and spaces at the train station alongside other NGOs. There were a lot of people, constant movement, and a need to respond quickly.

First Priorities.
In spring 2022, our work focused on basic needs:
- receiving and sorting humanitarian aid;
- sending food and supplies to eastern regions;
- supporting people arriving from the east.

From Idea to Solution.
Over time, it became clear that people needed not only immediate assistance, but also conditions for everyday life – access to work, education, and infrastructure.
This is how the idea of building a school emerged.
At first, it seemed unrealistic, but it was in Lviv that the team began working on a solution using 3D printing technology – as a way to build faster and more efficiently.

Lviv for the Team.
For many team members, Lviv became the first safe place after the full-scale invasion began.
The city was associated with movement and a constant flow of people.
Over time, a more stable operational base was established here. In autumn, the team expanded its presence to Kyiv, and later to Dnipro.

The People Behind the Work.
Today, part of our team is based in Lviv, including the finance department, accounting, HR, administrative team, and project team – the people who coordinate processes, maintain communication across teams, and ensure the daily work of the foundation.
