On October 17, we held a workshop at the Community Studio in Dnipro on “How to support yourself when working with people who experience mental health or cognitive difficulties.”
The event brought together 11 specialists – including psychologists, case managers, and social workers.
We exchanged experiences, discussed complex cases, personal challenges, and real-life examples from practice.
During monitoring visits, we often meet people who are under extreme stress or have certain vulnerabilities. Such individuals can trigger fear or misunderstanding in others. Stress can temporarily affect cognitive abilities, and it’s crucial to recognize these states without prejudice

When working with people who have experienced trauma or loss, professionals often face emotional instability or cognitive changes.
To act safely – for themselves and for others – they need a clear understanding of how to respond in such situations.
Community Studio is open to those who support others!
