Today Kyiv celebrates its day
We have prepared a series of postcards about the places that shape modern Kyiv and the everyday experience of life in the city.
For our team, this is also a city we work with daily in the context of war — as a space where urban life continues, people live, cultural and social processes take place, and the everyday experience of the city is formed in a difficult period.
The postcards feature: Kyiv Passenger Railway Station, Ukrainian House, Kyiv Academic Theatre on the Left Bank, Landscape Alley, and the Kyiv Metro.
These places reflect the city in different ways today: movement and arrival, cultural and social events, theatre and artistic practices, urban space, and a transport system that remains a key part of everyday life even during the war.а залишається ключовою частиною щоденного життя навіть під час війни.

- Kyiv Passenger Railway Station
Historic architecture and a place where thousands of people’s routes cross every day.
In recent years, the station has become a point of arrival for many people after evacuation, displacement, or the loss of home – a place where Kyiv welcomes people for the first time, offers a moment to pause, and helps them begin adapting to a new life. This is an experience that strongly resonates with our team as well.

2. Ukrainian House
Exhibitions, events, and conversations about contemporary Ukraine through art, social issues, and personal stories.
A space where themes of loss, change, memory, and people’s experiences during difficult life circumstances are often explored, making these stories relatable and understandable for many visitors.

3. The Kyiv State Drama and Comedy Theatre on left bank of Dnipro river
A contemporary Ukrainian theatre featuring productions based on works by artists of different generations and periods.
Its performances combine classical texts, contemporary драматургія, and current themes, helping audiences better understand Ukrainian culture, society, and the human experience through theatre.

4. Landscape Alley
A public space near the National Museum of the History of Ukraine where urban life, art, and everyday moments come together.
A place where musicians, artists, locals, and visitors discovering the city can each find their own rhythm and a moment of calm in the heart of Kyiv.

5. Kyiv Metro
A vital part of Kyiv’s urban life and transport system.
Beyond being a key mode of daily transportation, it serves as a shelter during air alerts and a shared public space where thousands of people pass through every day, reflecting the city’s resilience and continuity of life even in times of war.
