Modernization of 14 collective sites for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Lviv and Rivne regions has been underway for nearly two months and is now entering the active implementation phase!
Recently, Jean-Christophe Bonis, Director of Team4UA, Oleh Afanasiev, Project Manager,, Svitlana Riazantseva, Head of Operations, and Ihor Kabat, CCCM Liaison Officer, together with our TERA Consortium partners from the NGO “Center of Integration”, conducted a monitoring visit to Rivne region.
The team visited facilities in Buteiky, Lishnia, and Dubno to assess the living conditions and needs of the residents, as well as the progress in project implementation.
The goal of such visits is to witness firsthand how these premises are being transformed into comfortable and accessible homes for those who need them most.
What is happening at the facilities right now?
- Construction and Renovation Works: Complete refurbishment of bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and laundries, along with replacing water supply systems.
- Creating a Barrier-Free Space: Installing ramps and inclined wheelchair lifts between floors, widening doorways, and equipping accessible sanitary facilities.
- Equipping: Purchasing and installing necessary furniture, home appliances, handrails, mobility aids, and staff call systems.

As a reminder, beyond infrastructural improvements, the project also provides humanitarian and psychosocial support, case management, and mobile team services for collective sites residents.
